Terms of use
Last updated October 21, 2026
These are the terms for using Sprigstaff, run by Family Tree Ministry (“we”). Your organization has agreed to them on behalf of its staff; by signing in you agree to the parts that apply to you.
Your account
Your organization creates your place on the roster and decides your roles; you create your own password. Keep it to yourself. Sign out on any device you share. Tell your manager straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
What the app is for
Training, policies and staff records for your organization. Use it for that. Do not put children's information into it, do not try to see records your roles do not give you, and do not try to get around the app's safeguards.
Records and signatures
When you acknowledge a policy or an observer certifies a skill, the app records who, what, when, and the exact text involved. Those records are your organization's and are kept for its licensing body; typing your name where the app asks for it has the same standing as signing a paper form.
Google services
Signing in with Google and connecting a Google Calendar are optional. If you use them, Google's own terms apply to your Google account, and our privacy policy says what Sprigstaff does with the little it receives.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the app available and watch it for errors, but we cannot promise it will never be down. We improve it continually; features may change. If your organization stops using Sprigstaff, its records are returned to it in a form it can keep.
Limits
Sprigstaff is a tool that helps your organization keep its records and train its staff. It does not replace your organization's judgment, its policies, or the requirements of its licensing body, and we are not responsible for decisions your organization makes using it. To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything arising from the app is limited to what your organization has paid for it.
